FIELD DAY 2016
MVARC will again be participating in Field Day
activities this year on June 25th and 26th, from noon Saturday until
noon Sunday. Field Day is a time for practicing emergency
communication procedures by setting up in a remote location and
contacting as many other stations as possible in the 24 hours
period. Anyone interested in amateur radio is invited and
encouraged to stop by. This will take place at the
KOA Campground in
Jerome on Highway 93, just north of I-84. For more

The MVARC will be holding an exam session for those seeking a Tech, General or Extra Class amateur radio license. The session will be held Saturday,
May 21, 2016 at 9 a.m. at HAPPY LANDING
Restaurant at Magic Valley Regional Airport (this time only!) in Twin Falls. If you want to eat, please plan on eating BEFORE the testing begins or after it's ended. More information is on our Testing Sessions Page.
Please note...if you are upgrading you MUST bring your original license and a PHOTOCOPY OF YOUR LICENSE! If you do not also provide a PHOTOCOPY OF YOUR LICENSE, you will not be able to take the exam.

MVARC members hold a non-formal, no-host lunch each Thursday (excluding holidays) at the Happy Landing Restaurant at the Magic Valley Regional Airport at 12-noon. This is just a fun get-together where we discuss all things relevant including politics, ham radio, economics, theory of relativity, theory of life on other planets, how to turn lead into gold and coal into diamonds. So if you aren't busy this Thursday please drop by and join us.
